dc.description.abstract | This report provides some background information on the project, the purpose, the scope of the project and the objectives of the project. Sonography is popular in the hospital, but its sensitivity and image quality are not very good compared to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). Measuring stiffness of tissue enables early detection of cancer/ tumour. In this project, strain of tissue according to force applied on the top will be simulated. Algorithm of strain filer will be developed to build elastogram. This report covers the simulation of propagation of shear wave during HIFU exposure, influence of produced lesion on the propagation, and figuring out how to determine the size and shape of lesion and the gap between multiple lesions. | en_US |
