Title: | Haze and thin cloud removal for optical satellite imagery | Authors: | Yan, Yue | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering | Issue Date: | 2017 | Abstract: | Images are seriously affected by haze phenomena due to severe air illusion emitted by massive factories on earth, which also influences clarity of both photography and satellite images. Further approach and operation based on these images is impeded with haze existing. As haze weather is becoming more and severer recent years, it is sufficient to find effective method to remove haze from haze images. This project focus on searching on different kinds of haze removal approaches that are useful in both photography and satellites images. Improvement based on these methods, as well as further study on developing and implementing haze removal methods on varyingly distributed haze are achieved in this project. The report is mainly divided into two parts. One part is the research and experimental results on several current haze removal methods, while the improvements of time consuming for haze removal and solutions of varying distributed haze removal are mentioned in the second part. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/71061 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Organisations: | Twenty First Century Aerospace Technology (Asia) Pte.
