Abstract

The author makes use of the opprotunity of undergoing a period of attachment with an established Taiwanese engineering consultancy firm, to personally see and understand, and even experience first-hand, the reaction of the public in the aftermath of an earthquake, the scale of the damages and the impact of these unavoidable occurrence on the lives of the locals and challenges.
