Abstract: With the advancement of science and technology, the products nowadays are produced under professional manufacturing system with many complicated and intricate processes and machines to achieve high quantity output rate and at the same time excellent quality of product produced. In recent years, the performance of the manufacturing system has received a lot of attention, because it significantly affects the amount of product the companies can supply to the demand market and also the profitability of the product. The Performance Characteristics Curve can be used to determine how well the manufacturing system is performing and identify ways to improve the manufacturing system performance based on evaluation of relevant parameters. Some parameters may have greater significance compared to others to the performance which varies from system to system. Factors that influence the cycle time utilization and WIP performance can also be identified and evaluated. Modelling the parameters helps to evaluate the performance optimization point.
