Abstract: Cerebral Palsy is a disease that most people have heard about. It mainly affects young children and infants. These young children with Cerebral Palsy have to receive treatment early to improve their mobility which may help them to be more independent. There is thus a need to invent new therapy systems in order to cater to the growing needs of these young patients. In this project, the author plans to develop a mock skin stimulating therapy prototype to relieve pain and muscle tension of the cerebral palsy patient. The therapy system would be made mainly of vibration pads on its housing riding up and down a shaft coupled to a DC servo motor. The system will be connected to the Pi through the breadboard and it will be switched on and off based on the readings of the colour sensor. The system is portable, allowing the skin stimulation to be done anytime, minimising the number of therapists needed to physically apply skin stimulation for the patients.
