Abstract: Image noise is an undesirable by-product in all forms of pictures. It can be random and varies in brightness or color information. Low light images suffer from noise and low contrast. This can prevent important or key information in pictures from being visible. Image enhancement is the process of adjusting digital images so that the output image will be more suitable for usage. Histogram Equalization is an image processing technique that can adjust image intensities to alter the contrast. Therefore, this project seeks to develop an android application that can enhance an image such that details that are hidden or blur in the input image will appear more distinctive.
