Title: | Condition monitoring of underground cavern facilities | Authors: | Lim, Andria Hwee Yi | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Electrical and electronic engineering | Issue Date: | 2017 | Abstract: | The environment of power system operation differs between the underground facilities and the conventional aboveground. Unlike its aboveground counterpart, the underground power system faces relatively high humidity level, hot and saline environment, thus a conditional monitoring system as well as a reliability analysis of the underground power system is required. It is capable of analysing, monitoring, optimizing and predicting failures of power components such as transformers and cables. In the first part of this paper, the implementation will be carried out based on Ding, Zhang, Wang, Lu, Tseng’s article on condition monitoring and reliability analysis. The second part will discuss on the implementation on Graphical User Interface display, which provides the maintenance team with the most updated status of the transformer room and the individual transformers. Lastly, it will be on ad-hoc notification, which will inform the maintenance team if there is any abnormality in the power system. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/71718 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
