Abstract: Li-ion batteries are one of the most commonly used batteries. In order to manage the batteries more efficiently, it is significant to monitor the performance parameters of the battery which provide essential data. This report consists of the circuit design of the AC to DC converter (used to charge the battery), the procedure of data acquisition by using NI-DAQ devices and the design of the battery monitoring system based on NI LabVIEW. The whole system provides highly reliable real-time data in the period of charging the Li-ion battery while the calculations are finished on the computer.
