In the 3rd and latest Enabling Masterplan, Singapore envisages an enhancement of integration and inclusion of children with special needs in the local education system. One of the new education policies is the mainstream integration of primary school education for deaf children who can sign, which will take effect from 2018. Using a social attitudes survey, this study serves to find out the attitudes and concerns of both parents of typically-developing children and parents of deaf children towards inclusive education and the mainstream integration policy.
