Abstract: Data collection and management has become a topic in this era of information explosion. Data collection basically means gathering information, while data management refers to the process of data analysis and adjustment according to different requirements. With the development of technology, the tools used for data collection and management also keep evolving. In this project, a generic responsive website called Event Management System was designed and developed for data collection and management. The main task of this website is to help event organizers collect and manage event-related data. Users can input, view, edit and delete all information of their events. The website also provides registration form customization function and post-event feedback gathering. Event organizers can view and manage all participant information through the system. In this project, several web-based application design principles, programming languages, and other related techniques were investigated and practiced. The whole process will be explained in detail in this report, including introduction, literature review, system design, system implementation, conclusion and future work recommendation.
