Abstract: Though currently commercialized ultra-wideband radios can offer high accuracy, they require two ends to entirely engage in the ranging process, therefore support for multiple UAV will be limited. There exist several low cost UWB platforms whose functionality can be customized to our application. Using these UWB platforms requires that we have to develop our own method to process the UWB signal to acquire sufficiently good ranging data for UAV localization.
