Title: Design of the portable DVB-T2 receiver for mobile reception in Singapore (P3041-151)

Abstract: Nowadays, portable devices are widely used all over the world, everyone will use their mobile phone and pad to surface the Internet, send the email and even watch video or TV. With the advance in digital TV, sharper and clearer resolution are needed not only for television but also for portable or mobile device. DVB-T2 is the DVB standard supporting HDTV, the technologies and key changes in DVB-T2 will be researched and studied in this project. Besides DVB-T2, other basic knowledge on digital television will be learnt. With the understanding of the standard and knowledge, the student will approach the project mainly by two ways, one way is to disassembly the current digital product and use the valuation device to acquire some key parameters for digital receiver; and another way is to propose the simple design for the reception system using software which should include some the DVB-T2 techniques. Last but not least, student will propose the possible ways and recommendations for the future work on the research and study on T2 standard. This report contains four main chapters, the first chapter is the introduction for the project, and the second chapter is the literature review which will summary the DVB-T2 standard as well as some knowledge and parameters in the communication, the third chapter emphasizes on the work done and propose the simple design for this standard. Lastly, the conclusion and recommendation are done at the last part of the report.
