Keywords: | DRNTU::Business::Industries and labor | Issue Date: | 1999 | Abstract: | In this research, the medium-term future of hard disk drive (HDD) industry in Singapore is studied. Historical developments of global and local HDD landscape are investigated. Michael Porter's Diamond Paradigm is used to analyze, in a macro-level, the competitiveness of the Singapore HDD industry based on the trend of the key driving factors. It is complemented by the micro-level analysis provided by the study of the value chain of the HDD industry. A new analytical framework, called the Rapids Model', is developed by the authors for the HDD industry. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/7202 | Schools: | Nanyang Business School | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
