Title: Design and development of online generic instant feedback system
Authors: Yan, Jingping

Issue Date: 2017
Abstract: Event survey is usually conducted at the end of an event. It works for the purpose of gathering feedback and suggestions from participants so that better performance can be provided in the future work. This could be very inefficient. Ideas or useful suggestions are easily missed out if not taken note or reflected to the event organizers immediately. Possible adjustments or reactions cannot be carried out by the organizers in the first place as well. In this context, an idea of developing an instant feedback system came up to prevent such kind of situation. This instant feedback system provides event participants the approach to give comments, raise queries and sharing suggestions along the whole event. Related personnel can receive these feedback in real-time and take certain reactions, or use these feedback as a reference for further improvement in the future. The objective of this final year project is to design and deploy a web-based instant feedback system. Web developing languages and tools, including HTML, PHP, JavaScript, database and servers, were applied to develop the web system. Responsive web design was implemented in the project to achieve user-friendliness as well. The design and developing progress will be discussed in this report. Suggestions on future work will be given at the end.
