Abstract: Mexico has always played a major role in trade from the time of the Spanish occupation to the present. Mexico is currently the tenth largest trading nation in the world. It is part of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the USA's second largest trading partner. By linking its economy to the U.S., Mexico has been able to take advantage of the largest and most dynamic market in the world.
