dc.description.abstractCapture fishery yield has reached its limits, and the global demand for aquatic products is still growing, aquaculture has become the world's fastest increasing animal productiondepartment. In an attempt to assess the results of the environment of such quick expansion, life cycle assessment has become a common approach. This research aims to explore the advantages and limit use of life cycle assessment (LCA). LCA is applied to evaluate the impacts of environment, identify environmentally friendly agricultural systems, support improved environment, design benchmarks, and develop eco-labeling standards. However, its primarily restricts are concrete influence classifications with aquaculture and products of food which are not involved in the LCA method now. Non-inclusive of time and geography differences, social and economic elements are several defects of LCA, which is an important evaluation tool of environment. In addition, with different functional units, the consequence of LCA are usually different. To conquer these limitations, it’s recommended that relevant departments should use the standardized value. We came to the conclusion that the life cycle method must be considered into the development of the policy and LCA can be applied to offer decision support information to guide sustainable consumer behavior.en_US
