Abstract: It is widely acknowledged that the Singapore government has played an extensive and multi-dimensional development role in the Singapore economy and society. A major feather of its economy is the dominant role of government-linked companies (GLDx). As the Singapore government claims, GLCs have been generally well managed and run much like private business.
