Abstract

We Were There is a coming-of-age drama feature film, focusing on the lives of four tightly-knit teenagers as they face the ‘O’ levels exams and their uncertainties for the future. With elements of time travel, bullying, teenage violence and psychology, the story puts the friendship of the four teenagers to the test, as they journey through webs of mystery, secrets and denial. While on the surface the story is a teenage drama about friendship and mystery, ultimately it is also about how a group of teenagers, anxious about their futures, are given a peek into said futures.
