Issue Date: | 2018 | Abstract: | Knowledge has always been important to the humanity evolution. Humanities are continuously gaining knowledge through researches, innovations and discoveries. The knowledge is passed on from generations to generations through learning. Such example, are adopted in school where learning takes place. For many years, teachers and learners have had struggle with how to teach and how to learn. Many researches were conducted to find out how learning can be enhanced and result have shown that learning style have an impact on how learners performed in school [1] [2]. This led teachers to finding out suitable learning styles for their learners. The application developed in this project, ILS Data Processing Application, aims to improve the processing of learners’ Felder-Silverman Index of Learning Style report. This is because manually tabulating all the students’ learning styles can be tedious and could lead to inaccurate analysis. The main user of this application is teachers who are interested to analyze and discover the optimal learning styles for their learners. The adopted Software Development Life Cycle of this project follows the agile software development methodology so that the requirements of the application can be more flexible. The application is developed in Java with JavaFx. This report contains the documented requirements, software architecture, structural designs; component diagram, dialogue map, class diagrams and sequence diagram of the application development. The application process Index Learning Style Results that are either in Image, PDF or HTML format to extract data out and export it into an output file; excel workbook. The application also provides a GUI for visualizing of the data extracted. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/74025 | Schools: | School of Computer Science and Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
