Abstract

All The Chilli In The World (formerly titled Packing List) is a short film produced by gritty8 productions, a team of four students from Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Nanyang Technological University, as part of a final year project. The film revolves around the story of Charlene, a young Computer Science graduate who has found a new job in the US. On the night of her departure however, her mother engineers a clumsy marriage proposal in a last-ditch attempt to make her stay. This report accounts for the artistic and technical processes behind making this film, from the earliest conceptualisation stage to post-production. The report will detail the rationale behind decisions made pertaining to the film, as well as the team’s responses and solutions to challenges that arose along the way.
