Abstract: Driving in often congested urban areas like Singapore’s Central Business District is hardly a pleasant experience, especially during peak hours when everyone has meetings and appointments to go to, or even to head back home after a long day at work. The rapid growth of technology is also one of the important factors which contribute heavily in our daily lives in the areas of transport, communication, social, business, travel, entertainment, finances and medical. This final year report focuses on enhancing drivers’ driving experience with friendly and instant updated traffic conditions with the idea of creating a mobile application ‘D2D’ which allows better communication between drivers that are nearby each other. The implementation involves the use of Android devices that are connected to a local server, as well as a Cloud Server by Google named Firebase for storage and processing purposes.
