Authors: Lee, Paul Suay Wah.

Issue Date: 1997
Abstract: Gates has been selling in Asia for about 20 years. Through its Singapore office, the entry mode for all the ASEAN countries has been purely export through distributors. Its approach has really been conservative thus far. Coping with growth in Indonesia is now the challenge. It is important to find new ways to enter this market with tremendous growth opportunities. A thorough analysis on the factors affecting choice was done in the project.
