Abstract: Technological advancement and the increased adoption of the internet and smartphones have brought about a whole series of behavioural changes and effects on our generation. This paper looks at some of these changes and effects including keyboard warrior/online disinhibition effect, phubbing, the pursuit of perfection on social media, copy and paste/remix culture, cultural homogenisation and communicating with emojis, examining the consequences and motivation behind them. A series of moving images titled, "THE INTERNET" was created based on personal experiences as well as research done on the behaviours and effects mentioned.
