dc.description.abstractThe project aims to develop a novel new type of solid-state laser gain materials: the Yb-doped Lu2O3 laser ceramics. The Lu2O3 has high melting temperature and excellent mechanical, thermal and optical properties. By doping rare-earth Yb-ions in Lu2O3 ceramics the best laser gain medium by far for the high-power diode pumped solid state lasers could be further fabricated. We use Y2O3 to develop and test the wet-forming method. After modification we will use Lu2O3 to replace Y2O3 and adjust in case of need. This report will introduce the accomplishment status of current stage and the future plan of project.en_US
