Issue Date: 2018
Abstract: In this final year project, the objective is to build and design an inverting switching regulator with MC 36063A microchip. As smart electronics components are more and more important and necessary, some electric components have their special demands about voltage and current. MC 34063A microchip is widely used in many smart circuits because it can be used on DC to DC converters easily and it is easy to design either boost (step-up) or buck (step-down) even buck-boost (inverting) circuits. Some special circuits may need stable negative DC input, and this project describes how to get a -12V DC voltage output from 4.5V to 6V DC voltage input. This report shows some hardware designing and building, the calculation processing, some measurement results and further discussion. This project needs to design and build regulator circuits and use breadboard and PCB to do some tests for different parameter components.
