Issue Date: 2018
Abstract: The rapidly increase in power generation demand have shorten the life span of natural resources such as fossil fuels. This issue alarmed the survival of human kind to continue to explore for alternative sources to sustain power generation. Renewable sources were identified as a replacement to provide continuous power supply. However, till today, the integration of renewable resources into power generation has not yet achieved sustainability. Thus, natural resources are still heavily consumed. To address the inefficiencies of renewable resources supply, a test and investigation review on wind-turbine DC-DC convertors will be carried out through MATLAB simulations and hardware experiments. The focus to identify different setting of DC-DC convertor (Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost) in-relative to output efficient defined by an output load (Battery) will conclude the learning in DC-DC convertors settings and research objective in achieving maximum power transferred from input to output load.
