Abstract: The idea of this project is to build a fluid logic control system using Tesla Valve, which is a passive-type check valve used for flow control in fluid mechanic system. We experimented different numbers of the units to try to get the maximum value of diodicity, which is represented by Di, to perform the role as “diode” in the fluid system, using the software Comsol 5.2a. The simulation environment is in Laminar flow, and in 2-dimension simulation. Based on the multi-staged Tesla Valve, we build two basic logic units, AND Gate and OR Gate. As we experiment different types of models, the maximum diodicity we can get in 2D model is 4.7 when the number of units reaches 9, and the best result for the two different logic control units using the multi-staged Tesla Valve is around 80 percent of the ideal situation. At high pressure condition, the performance is even better, which can reach 85% of the ideal situation.
