In doing so, the reader would be given sufficient knowledge of these organizations in light of their history, strengths and weaknesses, strategic advantages gained by Compaq upon its acquisition of Digital, and how these advantages would provide the basis for determining Compaq's ability to succeed in the environment in which it competes.
