Issue Date: 2018
Abstract: Great improvements have been made to the way humans communicate with each other ever since the first telephone was invented in 1876. Nowadays, wireless communication is being used everywhere. Tablets, laptops and smart phones use wireless communication to transmit data to one another. These types of wireless communication are made using Microwaves. There have been concerns about the possible health effects that might happen due to Microwaves as it is a type of Electromagnetic Radiation. In this project, the measurement of Microwave Radiation due to Base Stations and Cell phone will be taken. It will then be cross checked with the guidelines set by the ICNIRP to ensure that it complies with the radiation limits. Health effects due to Microwave Radiation will also be studied. Methods to reduce Microwave Radiation and its effect will be discussed.
