Title: | Fast printing of electrical devices based on layered materials | Authors: | Christian | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering | Issue Date: | 2018 | Abstract: | Printed electronic using inkjet printing technique has become popular and attracts a lot of interest in the research and also electronic industry. The rise in popularity is due to the fact inkjet printing does not require any mask and lithography process, hence it can manufacture electric devices in a shorter time and cheaper compared to conventional technique. In this report, water-based inks from 2D materials such as graphite, MoSe2 and BN would be developed to be used for inkjet printing. The main solvent of the ink would be prepared from water as opposed to the common solvent, dimethylformamide (DMF) and N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP). The main reason is that both DMF and NMP were toxic hence it is not suitable to be used in open environment and for mass production. The prepared inks would then be printed on top of SiO2 substrate. Programmable dispensing system would be used as the primary printing method. The dispensing systems consist of Musashi Shot Mini 200s and ML-5000XII. As to control the printing process, it would be done through MuPro software that comes with the system. After the printing process was done, Raman spectroscopy analysis and electrical measurement of the printed samples are carried out. The result of the analysis and measurement show desirable results, however, there is a downside to it. The printed sample was not uniform and also it took multiples layer of printing to achieve the good result.
