Title: | Development of a software system for monitoring of home based rehabilitation | Authors: | Celetaria, Charmaine Elaiza Alimboyoguen | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Computer science and engineering::Software::Programming languages | Issue Date: | 2018 | Abstract: | Singapore has the highest smartphone adoption rate in the world at 85%. Countries in Asia are using smartphones to get access online instead of computers [1]. As advanced technology develops, more people depend on smartphone for their daily lives. People tend to use their phone in various tasks with the help of mobile applications, which are out in the market. The purpose of developing a software system for monitoring of home-based rehabilitation is to assists doctors, caregivers and family members when facilitating aftercare at home. The software system for monitoring of home-based rehabilitation is a mobile application that provides information about the location, total distance travelled and fall incidents of the patient. It is programmed using Android Studio to run on various Android platforms. The 2 main features of the mobile application provide a visual output to monitor the location of the patient and to notify the doctors and family members when a fall incident occurred. These features are performed with the generated data from a device-free fall detection and passive tracking system into the program. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/75013 | Schools: | School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
