Title: Development of android applications for electromagnetic simulations
Authors: Zhou, Yi
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering
Issue Date: 2018
Abstract: Electromagnetic wave properties and polarization theories have complicated expressions and are difficult for students to remember. Visualization of complex equations has been proved a good way of teaching and learning. As Education on mobile devices has become a trend for many schools, this project aims to create an application for applying the concepts of Electromagnetic Polarization in a visualized way, such as graph drawing and 3D modelling, on Android platform – the most popular open source platform for mobile programming around the world. The project conducts Android application development from scratch. With the programming language, Java, and the official Integrated Development Environment for Android, Android Studio, layouts and functions of different use are defined and applied.
