Title: Development of Android application – cloud based mobile application for project management

Abstract: Project management skills are essential in the society and having good skills for it will enhance several qualities of individual. Leadership, communication, planning and critical thinking are some of the qualities that can be improve by doing projects. However, having a project without proper management will lead to unacquired objectives and results which is undesirable. After a market survey on several students from university, it was found out that more than half of them are facing problems in doing group projects. Thus, an idea for a project management Android application has been introduced with the aim of resolving the problems faced by students and at the same time prepare them for society by enhancing their project management skills. To develop this application, it follows the discipline of a project architecture called Software Development Life Cycle. From requirements analysis, to designing the structure and lastly to develop and test the application. By following the architecture, the Android application has been successfully developed with majority of the requirements and features fulfilled. It is hoped that this application will provide a new social platform for students to execute their project and acquire good project management skills with it.
