Abstract: CANSAT Outreach Workshop is used to attract talents from across Singapore pre-university institutions, through which entails them to the engineering prospect of the CANSAT development. CANSAT is a scaled down version of a satellite, contained in a can that is not larger than a drink can. It serves as a stimulation of an actual satellite, used in the first stage of satellite education and training for students. CANSAT is a type of satellite that does not obit the Earth, which the highest it can go is to the height of a helium balloon before it burst. It is normally launch by a sounding rocket, or drop from a pre-determined altitude. A parachute or glider is then required to guide it’s descend, while capturing all the data required by the mission through its payload and send them to the ground station while it descend. This project designed and built 2 CANSAT themes, HumiSat and IntegriSat, where they are both customised into an Outreach workshop package each. There are also Graphical User Interfaces for these CANSAT which is meant to be user-friendly and engaging to the participants of the workshop. The interface program is also able to capture and store the data transmitted during the flight.
