Abstract: Escape room games have been gaining popularity worldwide in recent years with numerous genres for people to choose from. Singapore alone have more than 10 of these escape games centres but not all the population in Singapore have been to one or know exactly what an escape room is about. There is an actual difference in an escape room and a real escape room which locally, is just known as an escape room. This report covers the background and the definition of what an escape room is about as well as the reason and purpose of selecting an escape room as an event choice. With no prior experience in hosting an escape room game, rigorous research is required and personal experience in an escape game will provide insight on how to develop one. With new found knowledge, the journey to design and execute “Xperience@EEE” begins with development process and the various elements involved shown and explained to give an overview of this event.
