Title: Robotic billiard - elevated shot
Authors: Lim, Don Jian Wei
Keywords: DRNTU::Engineering::Mechanical engineering
Issue Date: 2018
Abstract: This report documents the background information of the development of robotic Billiard and the possible improvement to existing Robotic Billiard or related. The main area of study will be on how to avoid the obstacle ball by utilising the high elevation shots and adjusting the pitch angle. This report will provide information from past projects and will include the study on the physics of Billiard. It will also include calculations used for the control of the Robotic Billiard on the software RobotStudio. Lastly, the report will discuss on the experimental setup to obtain the data for different factors which includes pitch angle and aiming angle that will be needed to successfully pot a ball into the pocket. The experimental data and result will thereafter be discussed, and improvement can be made to further improve the accuracy of the Robotic Billiard.
