Title: | Dragonfly-like air vehicle | Authors: | Tang, Weiyi | Keywords: | DRNTU::Engineering::Aeronautical engineering::Aircraft | Issue Date: | 2018 | Abstract: | Flapping wing micro air vehicle (FWMAV), different from fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft, remains experimental in its application. However, its study has much potential because of its extraordinary agility, structural simplicity and aerodynamic efficiency. The author was inspired to test the effect of combining two sets of flapping wings, with focus on developing a pitching control by altering the speed differential of the two flapping-wing sections. This is actualized by offsetting thrust vector with center of gravity. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/75725 | Schools: | School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
