The relationship between investment opportunity set and corporate governance mechanisms : a Singapore perspective.

Abstract

The objective of this study are four-fold: to develop an empirical understanding of how a firm’s investment opportunity set drives corporate governance mechanisms of a company; to identify the influence of the regulatory environment on corporate governance; to develop an understanding of corporate governance practices of publicly listed firms in Singapore and to identify interaction effects among corporate governance mechanisms.
