Abstract: Cardiovascular disease is a major area of concern for many countries around the world. Patients with cardiovascular disease are often encouraged to live a healthy lifestyle while paying close attention to their heart rate. High heart rates are usually an early indication of an incoming cardiovascular event. When a heart attack occurs, every second is crucial to the survival chances for the victim. In today’s world of advance technology, smartwatches can be used to observe the heart rate with its inbuilt monitoring system. This research explores the possibility of creating a location based alert mobile application. When an abnormal heart rate is detected, the mobile application will send a notification to nearby people who are trained and certified as a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) / Automated External Defibrillator (AED) specialist.
