Abstract: The application created is to provide users the ability to understand, determine and distinguish the importance of options and availability of food places within the selected area of interest. The application will recommend food locations based on a random selection, determined by a series of questions or by the users’ personal choices. To study the user’s behaviour and choices of food, a series of questions will be used to obtain a general sensing of their preferences. These information are stored and will be used as an indicator for food choices when users are in a location with multiple food places. These places would be shown to the users as recommended food selections based on the information collected for specific users. To study the suitability of the food places recommended, the saved page will be monitored to determine if the users are showing interest in the suggestions. This will allow a better understand if the series of questions posed in the survey is a good indicator for food cuisines and recommendations. At the same time, the application will be able to receive reviews from users when they visited the recommended food places. Findings from this monitoring and review could be developed for targeting marketing in the future, by considering the rate of food places visited based on recommendations and providing promotions and discounts to encourage visits to the food places.
