Abstract: The Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) is an advanced technology that used in wireless communications. This project aims to study the knowledge of MIMO antennas for designing an MIMO antenna for Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) 2.4Ghz applications using High Frequency Structural Simulator (HFSS) software and fabricated that designed antenna. Communication is the most important thing from ancient times to the present. How to make the information fast, safety and efficiency transmission is always interesting topic to human. In old times, army used smoke signals and carrier pigeons. Over the next few decades, wireless communication developed, more and more technologies rely on wireless communication. For a long distance signal transmission, antenna is the key component of the wireless communication system. Antenna normally functions as a pair, with located at transmitter side and receiver side. The transmission talks place through free space with transmitting the electromagnetic wave. With the increasing demands, antenna should have low cost, easy to fabricate and high efficiency features. There are many kind of antennas and this project will focus on designed and fabricated Microstrip Patch Antenna.
