Abstract: Due to the concept of metamaterials being relative new, it opens up tremendous potential and possibilities in changing and actually bettering many aspects of our lives today. Despite there being no actual natural material that has the exact properties of the basic concept of metamaterials being where both permittivity and permeability is negative, the advances of technology and continuous research have allowed us to engineer such materials. In this report, I have specifically ventured into the use of metamaterials as a way one can actually detect malignant tumor-bearing tissues due to the change of these parameters in the human body and how we can associate it to the human body through the similarities of the polymer, silicone which has been used to simulate physical properties of human skin and more recently, having the ability to mimic the whole human blood rheology.
