|Title:||拓展艺术话语空间 ：《陈福财的艺术》的审查、反抗与协商 = The art of Charlie Chan Hock Chye and augmentation of artistic discourse : censorship, resistance and negotiation||Authors:||徐巧佩 Swee, Qiao Pei||Keywords:||DRNTU::Humanities::Language::Chinese||Issue Date:||2019||Abstract:||新加坡漫画家刘敬贤的图像小说《陈福财的艺术》因另类历史的叙述，被国家艺术理事会以可能伤害政府权威和合法性为由取消出版津贴，引起轩然大波。刘敬贤随后赢得艾斯纳奖，艺术理事会迟来且不具书名的祝贺更招来各界和舆论挞伐。有关《陈福财的艺术》的话题不断衍生，开启了关乎新加坡审查机制与艺术资助的重要辩论，进而拓展艺术话语空间。本文运用话语理论，整理2015年至2019年之间的不同立场与表述，分析艺术家如何借由《陈福财的艺术》对审查制度提出反抗，并且赋权利益集团重塑艺术话语空间，与政府进行协商。The Art of Charlie Chan Hock Chye by Singaporean cartoonist Sonny Liew generated quite a buzz in Singapore after the National Arts Council of Singapore (hereinafter NAC) revoked its publishing grant, on the grounds that it might undermine the authority and legitimacy of the government. The graphic novel went on to receive critical acclaim and eventually won three prestigious Eisner Awards. It came under the spotlight once again as NAC drew intense flak for its terse, belated congratulatory message which omitted the name of the graphic novel. With that, The Art of Charlie Chan Hock Chye has since become a touchstone in the growing and important debate about censorship and arts funding in Singapore. Putting various stances on censorship and arts funding between 2015 and 2019 into perspective, and with the aid of discourse theories, this paper seeks to examine how the artist confronts censorship with the graphic novel, thereby empowering stakeholders to reshape the artistic discourse and negotiate with the government.||URI:||http://hdl.handle.net/10356/76478||Rights:||Nanyang Technological University||Fulltext Permission:||restricted||Fulltext Availability:||With Fulltext|
