dc.description.abstract | This paper presents a national case study exploring the IS/IT outsourcing phenomenon in the private sector of a country of transition economy. Lithuania has been chosen as an example of such country and the research data was collected there. The initial findings set out in the paper provide an insight into how outsourcing practices, as an information system strategy, are motivated and managed in the context of a transition economy. The findings of this study suggest that there will be an increasing utilisation of IS/IT outsourcing services in the private sector of Lithuania. | en_US |
