In this study, the formation of liposomes containing ceramide and their liposomal membrane characteristics were investigated. Liposomes composed of Ceramide 6 and 1,2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DPPC) were examined by varying the amount of ceramide 6 present. The effects of Ceramide 6 on the liposome formation, dispersibility, permeability, and phase transition temperature were investigated by a fluorescence polarization method, dynamic light scattering (DLS) method, a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS).en_US
