Abstract: Since the fierce rivalry between Thomas Edison (DC) and Nicola Tesla (AC), we have been able to use enormous electrical energy in almost everywhere and every time. Now, there is a new trend of transferring electricity in DC form as a result of the drastic development of power electronics technologies. As a preparation for the coming electrical system, a DC-based shipboard power system will be implemented in this project. Also, a variety of useful functions in Simulink and MATLAB will be guided to facilitate the system modeling process.
