Abstract: An audio scrambler is created to enhance the security during audio signal transmission. The audio signal is transformed by Short-time Fourier transform and scrambled in frequency domain. The scrambled audio signal is decrypted on the receiver side. To test the quality of audio scrambler, three types of audio signals are tested – pop music, light music and speech. In order to improve the quality, different parameters in Short-time Fourier transform are tested.
