dc.description.abstract | Currently, the most commonly offered functionality of animal wearables is location tracking. In order to fully utilize the animal collar, other useful functions such as the capability to capture real time surrounding images, GPS location, environment data (temperature and humidity) and activity data can be captured via modifications. With several uses to the collar, the battery must be able to sustain for a period of time otherwise it would deem as inefficient. Therefore, the main contribution of the paper has proposed methods to improve battery life of the currently available animal trekking collar and the integration of such method to the hardware device. | en_US |
