Title: | Arcade of focus | Authors: | Lim, Su Hwee | Keywords: | DRNTU::Visual arts and music::General::Social aspects | Issue Date: | 2019 | Abstract: | Life unfolds every second, yet so often we let it slip away so easily. Living our lives worrying about the future or ruminate about the past. Also, we get distractible and interruptible at any moment by our smartphones that we had with us all day long. However, we seldom focus on what is happening at the moment, living through the actual moment. It is rare now for people to experience things without holding our mobile phones as we want to capture the “precious moment”. The Arcade of Focus explores ways for the audience to concentrate on the given task in order to be complete. The project hopes to create an interactive experience where the audience can participate and play with. Taking this chance to make tangible devices that can bring them away from their smartphones and play like how they used to. Prompting them that focusing is the key to succeed. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10356/77587 | Schools: | School of Art, Design and Media | Rights: | Nanyang Technological University | Fulltext Permission: | restricted | Fulltext Availability: | With Fulltext |
