Abstract: The importance of health in today society can be described that good health is recognized as one of the fundamental rights of an individual, but while trying to make ends meet, some of them might not have enough time to go for a regular checkup or even exercise. Most of us rely mainly on phone apps, internet and other various sources to determine if they are on the healthy side. Although these functions might work, it misleads people thinking that just by using a phone app or even googling symptoms is all they required. Spectroscopy, on the other hand, uses sweat to determine one health status, which is seen as a solution to this ambiguity. This study would examine the interaction between light and matter, and the reactions and measurements of Intensity Vs Wavelength. Light is first shine through a solution of substances, these substances will absorb wavelength according to the solution, the remaining wavelength will enter a slit and diffused using a diffraction grating into a CCD camera where the data will be captured. Data collection of the wavelength for a different solution will be recorded, the mean value of each solution’s wavelength will then be calculated. Since every substances and element produce different light frequencies and patterns, hence through the different intensity and wavelength analysis of unknown solution and compare it with known results to determine the composition of the test subjects. A further improvement would be to simplify the model, further studies of each periodic table chemical to have more data for comparison. Using of different light sources, example Ultraviolet, Infrared or even Sunlight to test out the possible wavelength obtained. The result of a new light source will open to more new idea in the current spectrometer.
